The Nature of This Journal
Blix is designed so you can open the app and begin building jewelry archive cards, tagging sensory and scene cues, and composing outfit records without creating a profile or signing in. There is no forced account system. Your cabinet content is meant to remain under your day-to-day control on the device where you use Blix.
This notice applies to the Blix mobile application and the ways it interacts with device capabilities you authorize. It does not replace the privacy practices of Apple or other independent services that operate outside Blix.
Materials Kept Inside Your Cabinet
When you use Blix, the app may store content and preferences that you actively create or that are needed for the app to function. Depending on how you use the features, this may include:
- Jewelry archive entries: names, jade or gemstone type labels, carving themes, texture descriptions, acquisition notes, optional price figures you enter, personal remarks, and cover imagery you attach.
- Outfit and wearing records: dates, freeform notes, mood ratings, silhouette, luster, scene, and sensory tags, linked jewelry references, and the three image frames used for close-up, wearing detail, and full-outfit composition.
- Timeline and browsing state: chronological presentation of your records and in-app navigation choices that help you revisit pieces and moments.
- Local preference markers: lightweight device settings such as whether introductory guidance has been completed, and similar operational flags that keep the experience coherent between launches.
- Permission outcomes: records of whether you have responded to system prompts for camera, photos, microphone, or tracking authorization, so Blix does not repeatedly interrupt you without cause.
Blix does not require you to submit identity documents, and it does not operate a cloud profile for your jewelry cabinet. Fields you leave blank stay blank; Blix does not invent personal details on your behalf.
Device Access You Choose to Grant
Certain journaling flows ask the operating system for permission before Blix can reach hardware or media libraries. Access is requested in context and can be changed later in system settings.
Camera
Camera access lets you photograph jewelry close-ups, wearing details, and full-outfit frames when you choose to capture a new image for an archive card or outfit record. Capture happens only when you initiate it.
Photo library
Photo library access lets you import existing pictures into your cabinet. If you later choose to keep a finished frame outside Blix, the app may request permission to save a copy to Photos. Selected or saved images support your journal; Blix does not use your library as an open browsing feed for unrelated purposes.
Microphone
Microphone access may be requested if a media capture path on your device includes sound alongside imagery. Blix does not use ambient audio for advertising and does not turn the microphone on as a background listening service.
Tracking authorization
On supported versions of iOS, Blix may present App Tracking Transparency. If you allow tracking, limited engagement-related signals may be used with measurement partners to understand how people discover and return to private jade journaling features, and to refine onboarding and prompts that surface archive or outfit-record flows. Your jewelry photos remain part of your on-device cabinet; tracking authorization, if granted, addresses engagement measurement rather than uploading your journal gallery for advertising creatives.
Where Journal Data Resides
Jewelry cards, outfit records, attached image data, tags, and notes are stored locally using on-device persistence (including Core Data and related binary storage for imagery). Preference flags may be kept in standard local storage such as UserDefaults. This design keeps your aesthetic timeline oriented around the device you are using.
Local storage is subject to the ordinary limits of your device: uninstalling the app, clearing app data, device loss, or operating-system resets may remove or render inaccessible content that has not been separately preserved by you outside Blix. Blix does not claim an independent remote backup of your private cabinet.
Network Pathways and Outside Processors
Everyday journaling—creating archive cards, composing triple frames, browsing the timeline, and exploring tags—is centered on local processing. Blix does not operate a user-facing cloud sync service for your jewelry photos or notes.
Limited network activity may still occur through the operating system or platform frameworks, for example when loading this privacy notice or related legal pages in an in-app browser, when the system validates software integrity, or when Apple frameworks exchange technical information required for the App Store environment. Those pathways are governed by the corresponding platform terms and privacy practices in addition to this notice.
If tracking authorization is granted, measurement-related transmissions may involve partners that help evaluate engagement. Blix aims to keep such use proportionate to improving the product experience described above and does not treat your cabinet imagery as a marketing asset for unrelated campaigns.
Purposes That Guide Processing
Information associated with Blix is handled to:
- Provide and maintain the jewelry archive, outfit-record flow, tag exploration, and aesthetic timeline.
- Remember preferences that reduce friction on subsequent launches.
- Respond to permission choices and degrade gracefully when access is denied.
- Improve clarity of onboarding and in-app prompts when measurement signals are lawfully available.
- Address integrity, abuse prevention, and technical reliability at the device and platform layer.
- Communicate about this notice when you write to the address below.
Blix does not sell your jewelry journal content. Sharing of personal information, if any, is limited to what is necessary for the purposes above, required by applicable laws or relevant regulatory requirements, or expressly initiated by you (for example, when you export or save a frame to Photos).
Practical Safeguards
Blix relies on the iOS application sandbox, platform encryption at rest where provided by the device, and ordinary access controls of your phone or tablet. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to reduce unauthorized access to locally stored journal data within the constraints of a consumer device app.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be free from risk. You can further protect your cabinet by using a device passcode or biometric lock, keeping the operating system updated, and avoiding untrusted modifications to your device software.
Retention and Leaving the Cabinet Behind
Content you create generally remains on the device until you delete individual entries inside Blix, clear related local data, or remove the application. Preference and permission markers persist for as long as they remain useful for the functions described in this notice, or until reset by you or the system.
Because there is no mandatory remote account, removing the app from your device is typically the primary way to discontinue local retention of cabinet data held solely within Blix. Copies you previously saved to Photos or elsewhere remain under those destinations’ own controls.
Choices Available to You
- Refuse or later revoke camera, photos, microphone, or tracking permission in system Settings.
- Edit or delete jewelry cards and outfit records you no longer wish to keep.
- Limit what you enter in optional fields such as acquisition notes or price figures.
- Contact Blix at the address below with privacy-related questions about this notice.
Where applicable laws or relevant regulatory requirements provide additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or restriction, Blix will respond to verifiable requests in a manner consistent with those requirements and with the technical design of an on-device journal.
Younger Users and Careful Guardianship
Blix is intended for users who can understand and manage a personal jewelry journal responsibly. It is not directed at children who require parental consent under applicable laws for this category of product. If you believe a child has provided information to Blix in a manner inconsistent with those requirements, please write to veilink@blixcabinet.app so appropriate steps can be considered, including guidance on removing local content where feasible.
Updates to This Notice
Features, platform rules, and legal expectations evolve. When this privacy notice is revised in a meaningful way, the updated text will be made available through the in-app legal entry or another reasonable channel. Continued use after an update means you should review the revised notice so you remain informed about how the cabinet is handled.
This version is aligned with the Blix experience as of August 25, 2026. That date marks when the present wording takes effect for users who access the notice from that point forward.
